In Praise of the “&” in Business

If there’s one word that’s everything in business, it’s connection.

Connect with your customers, and you win their attention, engagement, and loyalty. Connect with your coworkers, and you have a rock-solid team that brings creativity and synergy to solve problems, uncover opportunities, and facilitate positive change. Connect with your vendors, your colleagues, your freelancers, your favorite barista — and you’re on your way to a more productive, enjoyable, profitable (and energized) future.

There’s one word from which all connection flows: and.

Or, as my team over at Digital Surgeons and I like to boil it down: “&.”

Of course, design geeks like me love an ampersand for its elegant curves, minimalistic expression, and aesthetic appeal.

It also delivers some excellent Pinterest wisdom:
